1991
M/s. Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd, India, (SPIC) started Operations in Kuwait after Liberation of Kuwait through its maintenance & construction contracting division SPIC SMO.

SPIC bagged first Order from PIC for Overhauling of Ammonia / Urea Plant Turbo machineries.
1994
SPIC bagged Five Year mechanical Maintenance Contract in Mina Abdulla Refinery KNPC for USD 40 Million.
1997
Gulf Spic General Trading & Contracting Company WLL (GS) was established as a local company by M/s. SPIC, India with Dr. Fouad F Al Khadra as Kuwaiti partner.
1998
GS bagged contract from M/s. SFCL, Dubai for Refurbishment of Old Ammonia / Urea Plant equipment for USD 37 Million.
1999
GS bagged second five year term of Mechanical Maintenance Contract in MINA ABDULLA Refinery, KNPC for US D 55 Million.

GS established Engineering Office in Kuwait to meet the local requirement.

GS undertook the responsibility of Operation & Maintenance of Salt & Chlorine Plants of PIC for 5 years. This was part of privatization program of KPC companies.
2000
GS got ISO 9001 accreditation from M/s. BVQI for its Quality Management System.

GS got approval from KNPC, KOC, PIC, EQUATE etc. for Engineering and Construction & Maintenance categories of works.
2001
GS established its working as engineering / construction company in Kuwait. GS Bagged various small and medium size contracts with KNPC, Equate etc. GS also started providing services to International companies such as Hyundai, Linde, Axiahowmar, SK E&C, Dresser Rand etc.
2003
GS bagged Main subcontract from M/s. Technip, France for Vacuum Rerun Unit Revamp Project, KNPC for USD. 5 Million. Major Recognition by an International company as an established construction company in Kuwait.
2005
GS become the first local mechanical contracting company to directly enter into contract with M/s. EQUATE for Infrastructure Works of OL2K Complex project for USD 36 Million.

GS built its own office / workshop complex & camps in Shuaiba East Area.
2006
GS was changed into a 100% Kuwaiti owned limited liability company.

Based on the performance of GS in OL2K site, GS was awarded Main contracts for building EBSM complex, Offplot Works of Aromatics Complex etc. Total contract value in OL2K complex executed more than USD 100 Million.
2007
GS bagged its first major EPC contract from KNPC for establishing Facilities for Dehazing & moisture control of EGO &HSD in Mina Abdulla Refinery, KNPC for a value of USD. 40 Million.
2008
GS built its second workshop in Shuaiba East Area.

GS bagged engineering consultancy contract for preparing As built drawings / documentation of entire KOC facilities for a value of USD 10 Million.

GS bagged engineering consultancy contract for Digitization of complete drawings of Olefins II Complex of Equate.

GS was accredited with Four Star Status by British Safety Council for the HSE performance systems & Proceedings
2009
GS increased its capital capacity to 5 Million KD from 2 Million KD.

GS was awarded the KNPC, Mina Abdullah Refinery Five years Mechanical Maintenance Contract (CB/1264) of value USD 90 Million.

GS bagged the contract for five years Maintenance Services of Production Facilities for South Kuwait Areas (42161) for Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) of value USD95 Million.

GS successfully commissioned Dehazing Project of KNPC, proclaiming that first ever local contractor in Kuwait accomplishing the Major EPC Contract for KPC Companies.
2010
GS was awarded with EPC contract for Design and installation and recovery unit emissions (Unit No- 105) Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, KNPC

GS was awarded another EPC contract for Design , Fabrication & Erection of New Incinerator Stacks (2 Nos) of 110M height at TGTU (Unit 24) at Mina Abdulla refinery, KNPC

GS was accredited with ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification
2011
GS expanded the capacity of camps and established New Lay-down Yards in Shuaiba East Area.

GS expanded its operation to Project Management Consultancy Services. GS bagged PMC Contract from Green Carbon Limited for PMC services for their Liquefied CO2 Production Facility.

GS expanded its operation to Technical Manpower Secodnment Services. GS bagged Technical Manpower Secondment Contract from PIC, Kuwait for their Fertilizer Complex.
